Jocelyn Park

CEO, Owner

Mrs. Park joined APLUS in October 2016 and has over 12 years of experience in international communication, education, and exchange. Her favorite part of the job is engaging with the students, teachers, and parents. She strongly believes that education has the power to change the world. As a mom of two young kids, she is personally invested in seeing the next generation be well-equipped to provide new and innovative solutions to today's problems. 

With a wealth of knowledge of the Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) system, Jocelyn has been providing counsel to parents and students for the past seven years to better navigate their academic journeys and forge their unique pathways to success. Most recently, she was selected to participate as a judge in MCPS’s annual Business Pitch Challenge as well as hosted several MCPS 11th and 12th graders for a summer internship to provide real-world experience.

Prior to APLUS, Jocelyn was a Program Associate at Meridian International Center, a premier non-profit, global leadership organization located in Washington, D.C. She has implemented and facilitated over 30 international exchange programs with the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs (ECA), U.S. Trade and Development Agency, as well as U.S. Embassies worldwide. 

From 2010-2013, Jocelyn spent time abroad, studying Public Diplomacy at the University of Oxford and working in Marketing and Public Relations in the luxury retail sector in East Asia. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and can read, write, and speak the language. Jocelyn obtained her M.A. in International Communication from American University's School of International Service and her B.S. in Finance from University of Maryland, College Park. 

Jocelyn’s unique experiences have fostered her passion for education and she seeks to continue building relationships and creating impact in this field of work. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, connecting with other women CEOs, and traveling.

Grace Yoo

Operations Coordinator

Hi everyone! My name is Grace and I joined the APLUS team in 2023 as a part-time Operations Coordinator. When I'm not at APLUS utilizing my left-brain functions through organizing data, analyzing files, and brainstorming solutions, you can certainly find me exercising the right side of my brain! I am incredibly driven by the beauty and fun of creating things, from tactile projects like letterpress and crochet to more digital creations like music and graphic design. I strongly believe everyone has the capacity to be creative, whether it's painting the world with colors or with code. I'm excited to be a part of this team and looking forward to serving you and the APLUS community!

Yvette Mingia

Operations Coordinator

Hello friends! My name is Yvette, and I started as a part-time Operations Coordinator at APLUS in March 2024. I am excited to start my journey with you all. I am a current Social Work major at UMBC and have working experience with Montgomery County Public Schools. I will be continuing my education at University of Maryland for a Masters in Social Work in Fall of 2024 with a specialization in school based mental health. One of my passions is encouraging students and parents in social and emotional wellness. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, listening to podcasts, audiobooks and music and playing with my cat Ellie.
