2020 Fall

2020 Fall New Course Offerings:

APLUS GT - Math & Humanities for 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade

Due to recent changes in MCPS screening and admissions procedure for elementary and middle school magnet programs, a sizeable number of highly gifted MCPS students have not been accepted into the district’s magnet programs for the 2020-2021 school year.  As a result, many parents have expressed interest in finding an alternate means to ensure their children receive the appropriate level of academic enrichment.

Our purpose is very straightforward: we want to offer Montgomery County parents a private sector, supplemental alternative to magnet programming that may no longer be as accessible as it was prior to the recent changes in admissions.  Our goal is to immerse those highly gifted students in a competitive learning environment where their potentials can be fully unlocked.

Details can be located on the "GT Math/Humanities" tab to the left. A few scholarships for the 2020-2021 school year are available for students who qualify - Apply Today!

3rd/5th/8th Grade Test Strategy Preparation

In the past 20 years, APLUS has developed a very effective prep curriculum structure that has helped thousands of students achieved their academic goal of being accepted into the elite magnet programs in both Montgomery and Fairfax County. This prep class covers very extensive practice questions that not only help students understand the math concepts they have learned but also provide an excellent opportunity to practice testing strategies and techniques. This prep is also extremely helpful for students who plan to take private school admission tests like SSAT or ISEE or even for students who would like to get a head start on the SAT and sharpen their test-taking skills and techniques.  For more details, please visit the "Prep - 3rd/5th/8th" tab.
