Since its inception in 1998, APLUS Morning Camp has become the most popular program of its kind among students and parents. These programs are designed for 3rd through 11th grade students to advance their skills and provide them with academic challenges over the summer. Each three-week session allows students to preview the Math and English courses they will take during the fall semester. These classes are highly focused on teaching the skills students need in order to be academically successful. Students who complete these enrichment courses have demonstrated a high level of confidence and achievement in their schools.

Many levels of Mathematics & English courses are offered. Students are placed in an appropriate level based on the results of their placement test, which is required of all new students.

The English Enrichment courses

focus on critical reading and writing. Students work on many stimulating reading selections including novels, short stories, poetry and other works of literature that make the summer learning an interesting experience. Instructors moderate group discussion and help students build their vocabulary, exercise critical and independent thinking, and refine their writing skills. Equal emphasis is placed on understanding complicated texts and writing about literature, two subjects most needed in academic writing.

The Mathematics Enrichment courses

enable students to accelerate their mastery of math skills at all levels, from elementary to high school. This course is focused on developing the math skills necessary for success in the classroom and previewing new math concepts that students will learn during the upcoming school year.
