We are excited to launch our 4-week Common Application Essay Workshop this Fall!
The Common Application Essay is an integral part of the college application process, and is the best opportunity for you to showcase who you are, who you aim to be, and how you will enrich the school and community around you. Crafting an effective essay will involve critical thinking and reflection about personal experiences to create a personal statement that reflects growth, drive, and a desire to contribute to society.
This course is designed to guide students through the Common Application essay writing process from start to finish. Students will learn more about the admissions audience, review sample essays, identify how to avoid common mistakes, and highlight their strengths in their writing. Personalized review sessions are provided as part of the course. Students should expect to complete and review a minimum of two drafts of their Common App essay during the course. Supplemental essay topics will be discussed to help students approach other parts of their applications.
